Students must be entering their first year of post-secondary education, up to the age of 23.
We’re happy to announce the 2024 Hastings Catholic Education Foundation scholarship winners, Emma Kelly and Lily Kummer! Both Emma and Lily started their SEAS education in kindergarten and were members of the 2020 eighth grade graduating class.
Emma and Lily were recognized during this year’s Spring Fling event. In the fall, Emma is continuing her education at the College of Saint Benedict in Collegeville and Lily will be attending North Dakota State University in Fargo. Please join us as we continue to pray for this year’s honorees as well as all students graduating as they begin this new exciting chapter.
We’re happy to announce the 2023 HCEF scholarship winners, Ella Dohmen and Evan Koenigs. Both Ella and Evan started their SEAS education in preschool and were members of the 2019 eighth grade graduating class. The HCFE scholarship focuses on volunteer activities, involvement in their parish and how Catholic education has influenced their life. The answers from all candidates were impressive as they openly spoke about their relationship with God and the positive impact teachers at SEAS made in building their faith, self-confidence and how the rigor in their studies has well prepared them for high school. Ella and Evan were recognized during this year’s Spring Fling event. In the fall, Ella is continuing her education at St. Ben’s in Collegeville and Evan will be attending North Dakota State University in Fargo.
Congratulations to our 2022 Scholarship recipient, Ella Kelly!
"The environment that staff and students create at SEAS is really one of a kind. They truly do create a unique definition of family and provide a family for students who may not have the best. Without the sense of community at SEAS, I don’t know where I would be today. I hope that going forward as I pursue a career in physical therapy I can create a community for the people I work with so they can feel like they belong because everyone deserves a place of belonging. As I prepare to head off to college in August, I think back fondly on my days at SEAS. I pray that my days at St. Catherine’s University will model the same culture. Without SEAS and my family I would not have turned into the kindhearted, caring, compassionate person I am today nor would I have been able to develop the relationship I have today with the Lord." -Ella Kelly
