Funds raised at the annual Spring Fling event provide an opportunity for school staff to apply for grants. The grants provide classroom materials, physical updates to classrooms, or equipment needed to provide a healthy, safe, and faith-filled education for our students.
Grant applications are due in June for review by the Spring Fling Grant Committee. Winners of grants are announced in late September/early October.
2019 Spring Fling Grant Recipients
In October a total of $6500 in grants were awarded to four teachers.
Hear Myself Sound Phone
The Whisper phones allow the students to hear themselves talk/read so they can focus on every sound they say. The student can explore letter sounds, phonics practice, oral reading, and more.
Soft Seats
The soft cushions are used for young students to sit on during circle time or use on their desk seats. The cushion is far more comfortable for students than sitting directly on the floor. Studies have shown if students sit on cushions during circle time, it will help to enhance their attention and engagement.
Storage Cart for Chromebooks
Last year a grant for 30 Chromebooks was awarded to Ms. Ingebrand. This year she received a grant for a storage cart for safekeeping and recharging.
Lego Robotics
SEAS School has a team that participates in an annual contest sponsored by Lego. This year items were purchased to support the students' project.
